OP - just to be clear, don’t go with Prospects unless you talk to the other parents and you like the coaches A LOT. (Some of the coaches are also meh.)  The director is full of himself, treats kids like commodities, and none of the college coaches he claims as friends even respect or like him. Most parents can’t stand him. He is not there to build good teams and help kids get recruited. He is there to feed his ego and exert an irrational level of control over everyone and everything.

With maybe two exceptions, the current best players in MoCo most definitely do not play for Prospects. Most of their players are going D3, and you don’t need Prospects for that.

Google is your friend. Look at Prep Baseball, look at Game Changer for the teams that are headed to States, look at MSABC and All-Division teams, look at X. It’s not hard to find who kids play for. There is not one powerhouse org in MoCo. Also, many kids play for teams based outside of MoCo. I encourage you to find the right fit for your kid. An excellent place to start is definitely with your high school coach.[/quote]

Coming from out of state so this is a little more challenging. Reached out to the HS coach where DS will (hopefully) play next spring but it’s been crickets. I understand that these programs are polarizing and people either seem to have a great experience or a terrible one so I guess we’ll just have him try out for a few that make sense geographically and see what happens.
