Diener doesn't really take anyone with emotional regulation issues. I am an advocate and have had many kids denied with emotional regulation needs. Better to look for a different school or try to work with outside providers.
Not true. My child is there and has emotional regulation issues. We’ve been extremely pleased with how they’ve brought our child along. Search prior threads to see more specific feedback.
OP here - and how about academics? I've search the forums and not much on the academics at the school.
Academics are not the primary focus. If you want someplace rigorous, this is not the place for you. If you want a place that will help your child grow in their capacity to tolerate school and function as a positive member of a school community, this is the right place. They know how to bring students along who struggle with school refusal, work refusal, etc.
