Current 3rd grade parent and our school has covered division. Goal for the end of the year is for kids to fully master their 1-12 multiplication tables, but I'm not sure what the end of year benchmark is for division. But they've been practicing division for a couple of months at least.
Same here except mine is in the “mid high” math grouping and they are shooting for 1-15 mastery in multiplication. I don’t know why OP’s school wouldn’t cover division unless they do a new math system that emphasizes manipulatives and multiples ways of solving the same thing, which maybe is taking more time right now with the view of tackling division next year? But they I’m not sure how they would catch up over the next few years. OP, you should ask for the curriculum goals for grades 3-5.
