Hello- Over the weekend, I got a service done by triple A, and it came to $117. I looked at my online banking, and they took out $150. A few lines later, there's a transaction from triple A, labeled a 'reversal', for "-$33". Similarly, I used an ATM at a convenience store and tried to take out $180. It ran out of money, dispensed me $40, and a message came up saying my account would be credited the $140. So, I looked at my online banking, and there's the $180 charge, then a few lines later, a reversal for "-$140". My question is, shouldn't the reversal amount NOT have a negative sign in front of the amount? I don't think this has ever happened to my account before, and it's kind of a coincidence there's 2 instances of it now. They are still labeled 'processing.' Even if the reversal transaction disappears once it clears, I still need that amount credited - So, as of now, my account is minus the incorrect amount as well as the amount that should've been ADDED to my account (in both cases). Of course by habit I threw away the receipt after I went to the ATM but I do still have my AAA receipt. Has this ever happened to anyone? I have BOA fwiw.
