Pre med white girl. Neuroscience major. Mainstream interests. Hoping for a classic college experience: dating, going out, etc. Neutral on needing big game days or Greek life if there are other social things to do but will participate if these things exist. Coming from an intense high school where she studied hard for 4 yrs. Very strong student. Diversity is good. Very set on pre-med. Parents are both practicing physicians so she has her eyes open to the profession.
Either one, or pick one in the top 15 that has a medical school on or close to campus if it is a fit: WashU, Penn, Hopkins, Columbia, Duke, Harvard, Yale, Brown. These top schools are great places for premed with loads of clinical and research opportunities and funding for students, presuming she is verifiably strong, got 5s on STEM AP such as chem, bio, physics, calc and presuming 1510+ on SAT with no extra time. Those facts will set her up to have an excellent chance to be average or above among premeds at these places, and an excellent chance for 513+ on MCAT. Premeds work hard everywhere. Dating culture is very different at all schools, with less of it, but serious students premeds or not can and do have fun at all of these schools. Vanderbilt, Emory, or any of the others above are excellent feeders to premed such that average students with average GPA for the specific undergrad (3.7-3.85 for most of these) will do well.
