If she is exaggerating her distress, she should clarify. If she is in fact experiencing ptsd symptoms, she may have childhood trauma or neglect in her past. Having a background involving trauma makes it possible to have trauma responses in adulthood to things which wouldn't necessarily traumatize someone who was raised well.[/quote]
