I've been on Wegovy 2 years, so I have lots of advice: 1. If you are losing weight, no matter how slowly, do not go up in dose. No need. 2. Start strength training now, if you don't already do it. This is the big thing I would change if I could go back in time to when I first went on Wegovy about 2 years ago. I would start a strength training/weight lifting program at the start. 3. Talk to your doctor about managing side effects. Hopefully, you just won't have any. But some of us do, and they can be quite bad. I had extreme fatigue, constipation that resulted in impactions, diarrhea, bad dreams and disrupted sleep, and some depression as well. Blessedly, I did not have the seemingly ubiquitous nausea and vomiting. But the road has been a rough one for me. My doctor helped me learn to stay ahead of the biggest GI problems with the right diet. 4. Be patient -- you are not supposed to be losing 20 pounds in two weeks or something. People seem to expect that and get all frustrated. I lost an average of 1 to 2 pounds per week, and got to where I needed to be. 5. You said 30 to 35 pounds, but gave us no context. So I'll say this -- if I hadn't been fighting obesity, I never would have taken this drug as I need to stay on it forever and the side effects have never gone away. I've lost 70 pounds, and have gone from a BMI of 34 to one of 25, which has basically cured multiple health conditions for me. Outside of that context, it wouldn't be worth it for me. But YMMV, and some people have no side effects. Good luck. Like I said, it has been worth it for me.
