I’d like to see an example of what you see as harsh. I have very sparse brows so I try to pencil them in a little but making them look unnatural is my nightmare. It’s hard to know how they look to others.[/quote]

The shape of her brows seems fine to me. I think you are reacting to the color contrast with her hair, and her dark eye makeup with light eyes. If she was a brunette, or if she didn't do heavy lower liner, the brows would be unremarkable.

NP, agree her brows are way too dark for her coloring. They're also too solidly colored with sharp edges - I prefer a softer, slightly blurred look.

I didn't overpluck in the 90s, but my brows are naturally thin and sparse, with a couple of bare patches from childhood scars (the scars are no longer visible, but the lack of brow growth in those spots stands out). Brow pencil helps fill them in, but I use the brush side to blend it rather than having a sharp edge to the pencil line. [/quote]
