Best one was honestly Arkansas. The weather was perfect, Hot Springs was a really, really cool historic site, and the hiking was lovely.

Hilton Head was too cold to really enjoy the beach, but kids had fun digging in the sand and it's open to dogs before memorial day so the dogs had a grand time running the beach.

Pigeon Forge was like Temu disney...sooooo kid friendly with one million mini golf courses and arcades and such, but 3 days was plenty before I needed a break.

Santa Fe was boring. No desire to ever go back. It felt like a cruise ship in the middle of the desert with a bunch of odd art galleries and jewelry shops. We filled 3 days with hiking, Meow Wolf, and an art class but it was a stretch with a lot of down time.[/quote]
