[b]Plenty of academic rigor and brilliant students at UVA.[/b] Vanderbilt hounded my daughter with weekly brochures, postcards, etc. for 2+ years. She did apply and was accepted RD. Attends UVA as Echols and is having a great experience. Not in Greek if it matters; has made great friends who are interesting and intelligent and simply all around wonderful. I’m quite impressed. UVA has every possible opportunity and resource available. Both are great options. In our case we put the private school difference into her brokerage account.
