It's an extremely specific sort of weather that this area just doesn't get because of the humidity -- by the time it's warm enough to start having hot days, it's also humid enough that it never gets particularly chilly even in the early morning hours.

Can anyone else relate? Makes me want to plan a trip to the mountains![/quote]

It was great. I took it for granted at the time (probably complained about it! I'm a perpetually cold person and as a kid I hated being chilly) but now that I've had years of waking to 80 or 90 degree heat, I miss it.

I'm not sure it's the same anymore, though. My mom claims it doesn't get as cool at night in the summer anymore.[/quote]
