I was a kid, so of course I toughed it out in shorts and sandals, but we'd also wear oversized sweatshirts just for the morning if we had to.

This morning it was cool enough that I was reminded of those mornings and that very specific feeling of brisk air coming through before it got nice and hot. It's an extremely specific sort of weather that this area just doesn't get because of the humidity -- by the time it's warm enough to start having hot days, it's also humid enough that it never gets particularly chilly even in the early morning hours.

Can anyone else relate? Makes me want to plan a trip to the mountains![/quote]
