I would say just go through your PCP. There’s no sense in using one of these companies unless your primary care doctor refuses to prescribe it for whatever reason. I will add that I have been on it for about two years now, and I’m at my goal weight after losing about 70 pounds. It has not been a cakewalk. I have had bad side effects, and they never went away completely, and so I will likely have them the rest of my life. If I weren’t obese and needing to lose that much weight, I never would have stayed on the medication. YMMV.
Idk about op's PCP but many are old school and not receptive which is why people often turn to online providers. Meanwhile my GYN (a very normal practice, not concierge or new agey) is very attuned to peri/menopause issues and actually does ask if you'd like to discuss GLP-1s during visit.
