first time - 12 day session - very young kids. I find the packing list overwhelming! Backpack OR daypac - which one? Shower caddy...any special features? What did your camper wish you sent?
My DD has attended Capital Camps for four years! Here is how we have modified her packing list: - The Yalla bunks are air-conditioned, but Benjamin Village bunks are not. She brings at least two different fans with her for night-time in the bunks, and a wearable necklace-like fan for around her neck during hot days. A fan/squirt bottle thing is also great for extremely hot days. - She likes an organizer caddy that hangs from the side of her bed--she can keep pencils/pens, books, small fidgets, flashlight in there. Helps for early morning or late night bedtime activities. - For backpacks, as long as it is big enough to hold different clothes/swim/towel/suncreen/water bottle for a variety of different daytime activities. They do not return the cabin very often during the day to "re-pack" so the backpack needs to be big enough to hold items for most of the daytime activities. Hope this helps! Packing is definitely a process, I would start early and set things aside so that you are not scrambling in the weeks prior to camp.
