The astronauts are also genuinely admirable and thoughtful people, as are many of the people at NASA and CSA who helped launch the mission. One thing the astronauts have emphasized in many of their interviews is how seeing the earth from a distance makes you really understand how precious it is, and how human beings are really just one big group, not a bunch of separate factions. Also the commander of the mission, Reid Wiseman, is local (from Maryland). One of my husband's colleagues went to high school with him. I hope more people start paying attention. It's special. Artemis III, which plans to land on the moon and look for ice using the information collected on this mission, is a scheduled for 2028. That's only two years away! Get excited![/quote]
