What do you mean by "redshirt" ? Repeat a grade? Take a year off from school after 10th and come back and do 12th? If she's academically on target but can't handle school environment, then homeschool/unschool/online school plus some group lessons to prepare for reintegration. If you have an IEP or can get one, you can push for half day at public school plus online courses or one of the community college options if she's qualified.
You do not need an IEP to get accommodations for health issues in school -- you can get a 504 plan. My kid had serious depression one year and our 504 plan included hand-scheduling of classes so we could get an optimal order and some teacher preferences. We cut back on the number of classes by asking if she could be a TA for a favorite teacher - one who would let her be out sick with a sick note and not hassle her. When she was there, she could be a help. She also had accommodations like extra time, extended and rescheduled deadlines, etc. At one point when she was really struggling, we asked to cut the work down in a core class - algebra -- so that she could just take the tests and quizzes. It was a fight that we won. But, we also used the public school Home and Hospital program for a couple classes.
