We have two exchange students from Germany at my school who both made varsity lacrosse despite not ever hearing of it before because they are natural athletes.  One was a soccer player and one played some weird indoor hockey type game.  [/quote]

An upcounty MoCo school.  I coach JV and all 25 kids on my team never touched a stick until HS.  5 are returning from last year.  2-1 on the year so far though.

That’s so bizarre.  And I guess sad for the state of lacrosse in whatever upper MoCo area you live in.  I know that happens for football but weird for lacrosse, in MD at least.  Imagine rolling up to HS and 100% of the JV soccer or basketball team had never played the sport.  (There is nothing inherently about lacrosse that makes it easier than other girls’ sports to learn.  My opinion is it’d be much harder than soccer to pick up.)[/quote]
