I agree with you.  Those running for County Council, Yang and Silvestre, may be the abstentions.  They want to be perceived as being on everyone's side, when clearly they just want a promotion.  Do not vote for them.

I believe the Superintendent's recommendation passes.

I believe certain groups waste time and money appealing to the State Board of Education.  It will not get overturned.  MCPS/BOE has defensively arguments.  They can cite to their data and show the long process of the community being allowed to provide feedback.

I believe the Parkway families motivation was in fact a huge distraction and we will be stuck with the sub-par magnet system.  We could have had credible changes to it, mainly on the margins, that could have made it more palatable.  We will not now.  They few excellent schools are gone for bad reasons, but they can justify it if it is challenged.  MCPS went down the tubes a while ago.  Stop voting for the BOE members who allow it and enable MCPS. And do not vote for Yang and Silvestre on the Council.[/quote]
