Are you talking about Baroody language programs or something sponsored by the PTA? How I read your title, I thought you were asking about Campagna, Rec, or Boys and Girls Club after care. YOu might want to edit it. My kids are at a different school but we were not impressed with the after school club language programs. Now that my kids are at GW, they are loving language offerings but we wish they had language options in elementary. Only had option for dual language if you opted in and waited until week before school to get into Mount Vernon Community School. We think it's odd that ACPS doesn't offer languages like our childhood public schools did. Mine had French and Spanish and DH's had Latin, Spanish, and Chinese. These were in less wealthy parts of the country than Northern VA. We've had good luck with language groups outside of after school clubs or affiliated with community orgs. They are often organized by parents who speak the language and hire qualified teachers. I had friends also hire tutors for a language and meet at the library have great success. The German program at GW is amazing so your child will love the opportunity to apply for the exchange program!
