When we travel and don't have a buffer day between coming home and returning to work and school it is stressful.  The house is messy, we're not really ready for the first day back, etc.  I try to at least leave on Friday feeling set for the following week - groceries in the fridge, unpack school bags etc so you're not dealing with that chaos on Monday night.

We usually consider the travel "worth it", but not always. DH has a harder time with it than I do. And of course work and school both have more stressful and less stressful phases.  That said, if you're really so anxious about possibly being stressed about returning to life after a Memorial Day weekend holiday I think maybe you should reconsider.[/quote]
