[/quote] ablation for SVT or afib? we're more likely to develop or have worsening afib as we age, and so an ablation may be a temporary fix. and of course the procedure is riskier the older we are. but if they can trigger the SVTs it's usually possible to treat them. also things like beta blockers can reduce incidence of afib but will have no effect on SVTs. anyway, OP should be talking to an electrophysiologist, not dcum.[/quote]
