In DC, there have been 10 murders so far this year. By comparison there 27 at this point in 2025. That’s a 63% decrease, which is incredibly impressive. For further context, the safest year in modern history in DC was 2012 when there were 88 murders. If the rest of 2026 has the same trend line as January and February we will beat that by a lot, which everyone should be thrilled about. But sadly there are those on here who would rather see more Black men dead than for Trump to get kudos for anything, which is disturbing to say the least. [/quote]
