When my daughter graduated from 8th a few years ago, it was the same 2-3 kids who got in to all the top “Big 5” schools ( they were all great athletes and good students as well). School results would read something like this ( as an extreme example) : “Our graduates got in top highschools : GDS STA NCS Maret Sidwell Potomac Our local public high school Flint Hill SAES” At first glance, one would think that more than half the class got into the top 5 schools, when in reality , it was only the same 2-3 kids getting in everywhere with the rest of the class getting average acceptances.
