Don’t they want to encourage borrowing and spending?[/quote] Generally speaking, yes, but the Fed will have to be more cautious with the pace of cutting their benchmark rate due to inflationary pressures that are still lingering from the COVID driven inflation. Don't expect to see rates as low as they were in 2021 anytime soon.[/quote]
