Why does MCPS have such a short window for spring sports. Fall gets 2-3 weeks of practices before school even opens and winter sports is Nov to early/mid March. For some reason Spring sports is March to the first week of May. And that includes 10 days lost to Sprinv Break. Not even 2 full months.

The fall sports window is longer because you can only safely play one football game a week.  All other team sports allow for 2-3 games per week so you can have a shorter calendar window to get the same number of games in. We have 3 weeks of practices in the spring before the state mandated opening day of March 20th. [/quote]
