Technically, MBLI could submit a response to this revocation by Mar. 30 and the board could be satisfied and not move forward with closing the school.

But it's clear that the BOE wanted to punish MBLI despite the organized protest from parents, staff and students, and despite the obvious disparity in how it's punishing MBLI for being noncompliant versus other MCPS schools.

Important note: The only reason MBLI exists is because the State BOE forced MCPS to let them open. MCPS is trying to smother charters because they don't want the competition.[/quote]
