[/quote] Plenty of kids who do BA have never touched a SM workbook and are quite comfortable with algebra. Then again, the kind of kids who do accelerated math are way more than half a year ahead in math and can do stuff in their heads without needing to draw bars or anything else, so probably neither is relevant to the OP.[/quote]
