DD wore a $10-$15 Disney princess dress to attend a girl's birthday party hosted at a ballet studio. She and I both thought that it was fine because it was hosted at a ballet studio. Ballet studio screamed to me princess or girl theme party. I just find out months from DD that the birthday girl was mad at DD wearing princess dress that day because it was her birthday party. She told DD at school the next day or so at school. There were other girls wearing ballet dresses thst day, and I had no ideas it was an issue until months after. The birthday girl wore an expensive sparkle dress that day. Now I see why they do not talk or interact anymore after that birthday party months ago. Oh man, they are 6/7 years old. DD and other girls used to wear Disney princess dresses at daycare and attended birthday party. Maybe it is not appropriate anymore at elementary school? If I knew thst months ago, I may have done or said something. I do not plan to do or say anything, and I think it is kind of pita that it was an issue. I just do not like this kind of girl drama and girl friendship is tough. Is there any ES aged girl friendship and girl drama related website or book that I can learn? I am a foreigner, so I am clueless on many things.
