We are staying with my in-laws now, and will be moving in the summer. I will use my in-laws address for the lottery application, but if we don't get into our top choice schools, we will make sure to be inbound for a school we want. How does that work? I assume we don't have to take any action until we have our residency documents ready, and then just enroll at the neighborhood school, no myschooldc action needed?
Talk to the My School staff. I think you are correct - but never hurts to check in with them. When you enroll your kid IB (if you don't get lottery schools), you'll just use your permanent address.
