[/quote] Me again. If you tell them firmly, that will take care of their constant requests for help. There is a large universe of neighborly relations between fighting and being a doormat, OP. We're friends with most of our neighbors. I've had to speak to one of them about her dog escaping and pooping in our yard, and she wasn't happy about it at the time, but that was years ago and she's gotten over it - now we chit chat when we meet. My husband had a tiff with the next door neighbor, so for a while relations were awkward, but they've also gotten over it and now say hi to each other.
