Neither. Forest Edge is pretty bad too unless you are in AAP. The only acceptable elementary school in Reston to me would be Crossfield.
Fox Mill would object to that. I don't know if Fox Mill is considered Reston or Herndon, since it is technically not in Reston or Herndon, but we are pretty happy with the school and are most certainly in the Reston/Herndon community space. But we like being a smaller, neighborhood school with strong academics. I know some folks are not happy with the IEP services at the school but our experience was positive. We have friends who have not had positive IEP experiences for different reasons. The Japanese Immersion program was great for us. I know that not everyone loves the JI program, kind of like the AAP Center AAP/non-AAP split issues. Anyway, just tossing out that Fox Mill is here, literally 5-10 minutes away from Crossfield and Dogwood.
fox mill has a herndon address. where would you say its located if not herndon?
Technically, Fox Mill has an Oak Hill address, just no one uses that. Fox Mill is not in the City of Herndon. We are a 5 minute drive from Reston Town Center. I would say that most of the people in Fox Mill see themselves as tied to both Herndon and Reston but we have to pay to use both entities services. If someone is looking at Dogwood, then Fox Mill is a 5 minute drive from Dogwood ES. You cross Fox Mill and you are in the Fox Mill neighborhood. I would guess that Fox Mill is closer to Dogwood then Crossfield.
