I have been reading his book recently. I have also listened to several episodes of his podcast. I found his book very helpful as well as some of his podcast episodes. But I would tell my sister (who was the one who told me about him) that he seemed a little crazy. Good at presenting himself as reasonable but would go all in on wellness/health span stuff to a level that seemed unhealthy The Epstein stuff is disappointing, but not entirely surprising. Definitely something off about him - of only based on the sheer amount of time he spends on fitness stuff for himself - not normal for a husband and a father. I don't mean it's bad to spend time on yourself, that is good, but there is a point where it is just way too much and quite selfish.
I totally agree. I read his book and there was a lot of good info, but I walked away thinking his personal conclusions were too extreme. By all means get a lot of Zone 2 cardio and get stronger. But the average person would get incredible benefits from doing way, way less than he does. He takes it to a level that I think it over optimizing.
