What are you talking about? They didn’t even do the info session on classes for HS at my kid’s school until second week of January.

I teach 9th graders and every 9th grader in my HS registered for classes the 2nd week of December.  10th graders did it the following week.  Not sure when juniors did it but I'm 90% certain they already did.

You are confusing a lot of issues.  My MS kid has a deadline of January 30 for 9th grade registration. Their info session was in the second week of January.

You are welcome to share data that all the MCPS 8th graders are signing up for 9th grade classes in December before info sessions are held, but I think you are wrong. [/quote]

Ask the counselor, OP. You cannot go by what other schools are doing. This is a school-specific thing.
