I agree it's too early to tell, but it does seem to take forever for MoCo to get back to school after a snow event, and only a small area of the county needs to be affected for them to call it for everyone.  Unless it misses us entirely, I think a delay or (more likely) closure on Tuesday is fairly likely.[/quote]

PP you replied to. I agree with you in general, with the caveat that schools never decide solely based on actual weather conditions, but unfortunately also decide based on other criteria :-). At the beginning of the winter season, when families aren't used to snow, schools tend to close at the drop of the hat. In years when we've had several snow accumulations per winter, schools end up staying open for the last ones. Since we are forecast to have several snow events back to back from Jan 24th to Feb 1st, we might see this behavior in action this year...
