If you're not willing to do it right, that's fine, but don't try to bend the rules and then complain that the method you're not utilizing correctly isn't working. There's well-known dog psychology behind why crates (enclosed areas large enough for your dog to stand and turn around in, but not much more) work. A playpen isn't the same thing, and it doesn't work the same way. The suggestion is that you actually crate train your dog, using an actual crate. This solves your problem(s). Again, you don't have to take it, but don't half-ass it and then complain it doesn't work. [/quote]
