Wow. What was the point of getting a dog? She is caged day and night…… Anyways, tether her while you work. Put her on a leash in your office. She will then be in sight and you know she is safe. Take her out to use the bathroom like clockwork and exercise her.
She’s caged 5 hours a day on weekdays and yes while we sleep. We don’t plan on caging her forever while we sleep (just sleeping in our room without a cage) and hopefully not during the day. I don’t work at home obviously, so I can’t tether her. I’m hoping to get more telework soon. She gets lots of exercise from our 3 kids who adore her. I’m shocked she can climb but she escapes in under a minute. She even can climb my parents backyard fence because it has chicken wire. I’ve never seen a tiny dog do either. It’s not safe to leave a puppy out all day. She’s not a chewer yet but she could I’m sure. Or eat something that hurts her. Can’t do doggy daycare. She’s too little and also hates other dogs. She’s into humans not dogs.
