Is the AM wave typically for stronger teams? How do they assign teams to AM or PM?
It's usually done by age or competition level (open/club)
What does that mean? Younger teams = AM wave? Open competition = PM wave? Your answer is quite ambiguous regarding how this is done.
NP and no. Every age has different divisions. It is random if you are assigned AM or PM. Depending on the size of the tournament, there could be many divisions per age group. Sometimes you find out the “wave,” the AM or PM slot, for day 1, well in advance. Sometimes it’s a couple of days before the tournament begins. Sometimes, if you start if the PM wave you will continue in that for day 2 of a 3 day tournament. Other times, everything is shuffled and you will find out your time after all completed on day 1 and the new brackets are released for day 2. Usually a final day is released late, based on ranked for the final day of a tournament. The time you play and how long you play will depend on how your team performed. Often tournaments are single elimination with a consolation match for those who get eliminated early on. You might be out early or late on the last day.
