I had skin cancer on my neck and then a scar about 2 inches long after it was removed. I waited 4-6 weeks using just vaseline and covering it with bandaids when I need sun protection. But then I moved to using silicone scar sheets. I got a big roll of it for cheap on Amazon so I cut it to size. I used that round the clock for a few weeks. Then eventually just at night and I'd use the gel during the day (covered with sunscreen too). The scar sheets and sunscreen did wonders, now you can't even tell I used to have a thick gnarly scar. Sunscreen is VERY important, especially in the first 2 years.[/quote]
