Being a military officer is a great option for those who want that All of the service academies (and also VMI or Citadel) involve / require some things I would call silly, like having to square one's arms while eating in the dining hall. Some might call some common aspects of student life at an academy as hazing. ROTC is another great option that also leads to a military officer career.
