I know everyone's getting on OP for this, but MCPS does have a communication problem. There's too much and it makes it hard to determine whats actually important. They need to chill with all the messages. If you have kids in multiple schools, it's an extra challenge to determine when there's something very important sent, especially when the schools bury those important things in weekly newsletters sandwiched between the same content that will show up in every newsletter all year. I wish schools only sent info home that is urgent or important, and save all the extra notifications/ organizational stuff for their website that parents can go to as needed. Then MCPS itself needs to realize they send entirely too many messages out that are not essential and just clog up our inboxes and add to our communication fatigue. This is a case where less is more.
I have multiple kids in multiple schools and this honestly is not a concern. I read the principal newsletters each week so I'm informed about the on-goings at my kids schools and within the district. If them communicating in multiple ways annoyed me I'd update the communication settings in ParentVue or ignore the duplication. I just consider this being an engaged parent and reasonable adult. Difficultly level = 1.
