My mom baked bread when I was quite young and she was having too many babies to work. She made buns, not loaves, but I remember the roasting pan she raised her dough in and it was definitely enough for 4 standard loaves. I don't see any problem doubling the recipe for a single loaf, and you could probably double a 2-loaf recipe assuming you have a big enough bowl (or roaster!) for the rise. I use Kitchenaide for kneading and have not tried it with a 4 loaf recipe but I think the bowl would handle it. [/quote]
