If the party falls near a mealtime, it is totally rude not to feed the parents (unless we are talking about a party for like 8 year olds-I have preschoolers so that is the age group I'm envisioning). I cannot tell you how many sideways glances were exchanged at a recent birthday party where it was announced that only the kids could have pizza. This was at a 3 year old's party, so every child was there with at least one parent. My family went to another small party, mostly adults, to celebrate a 2nd birthday, and there were 5 pizzas for about 30 people. The pizza was gone in like three minutes. We left because we were starving. We hadn't had nearly enough. We didn't even stay for cake. The party was at 5pm.[/quote]
