How much are your kids involved with holiday related food shopping, prep work, cooking and baking ? What items do they help with or make?
Of course they help they want to. Raise your children to be self-sufficient. All kinds of cookies always experimenting with different chocolate chip cookie recipes, peanut blossoms, sugar cookies decorated, date bark, brownies, oatmeal cookies, chocolate pudding pie, apple pie, chocolate mouse recipes in cakes or pies, ice cream pies...... Mashed potatoes, chicken, brisket, short ribs, tacos, And yes my kids go grocery shopping when young with me, when teens without me, as adults with and without me. Everyone at the table has a job. Every place setting has a turn. Ie some clear plates some load diswasher, some put glasses on the table etc..... We make it fun by making place settings a few weeks before with decorations. Or we go out to eat... if no one feels like doing all of the above..
