If they actually cared about winning elections, they wouldn’t run any candidates and get behind independents or they would disown the national platform (which would be their own obituary). I had a chat with the guy who ran against Frumin and he wanted to run as an independent but he said the republicans told him they would also then run a candidate and completely tank anyone’s chances.
