I’m just here to emphasize. My youngest DD is in 9th and I could have written this. My kids have all been involved in sports but the split schools in FCPS were tough in them. We didn’t realize how tough. Unfortunately, sports helped for the boys but not my DD. They made acquaintances but do many of those teams were already close from their middle school. Things did get better for my sons with time but I can’t tell you they ever loved their HS. Their best friends remained the ones from MS who went to the other school. The years go quick and they all drive soon enough. We are encouraging DD to join clubs.
Some never do, MY DD is a senior going to a good college, but never liked high school enjoyed middle school 8th grade. and most of 6th grade, but same issue. It did go by quickly for her, but never enjoyed it.
