Wouldn't your time be better spent teaching your child to de-escalate situations than finding out which adult you can place blame on?
This is OP. As I said the bullying has escalated and I am trying to figure out what the school’s responsibility to inform the parents if they learn of an incident outside of school. If I needed advice on how to teach my kid to escalate, I would have made a separate post.
teach your kid to kick that other kid's ass because MCPS won't do anything about it. trust me. and they only have jurisdiction on their school grounds (or bus)...save for some cyber bullying stuff. quite frankly, it will be easier for you to address if it occurs outside of their jurisdiction. MCPS is not an ally to students who are bullied (i.e., victims of violence and emotional and physical abuse). they only care about the bully. that's the leftist way the county went. worst part of my democratic party. no law and order anymore.
DP/ I agree. My child physically defended himself against a bully. Tripped them when they were accosted at recess and wouldn't be left ago after some hard shoving. My child was not reprimanded. Bully deserved it and backed off. MCPS is a joke and won't help you. Help yourself.
