I sell on Etsy.

There is a procedure.

Etsy will definitely give you back your money in full.

What you describe sounds like a chinese, indian or turkish drop shipper masquerading as a legitimate US vintage seller.  What you purchased was likely mass produced fake crap.  (Always do a reverse image search before purchasing on Etsy, and check out the store's social media.  Half the stuff is legitimate vintage and artisan created, the other half is fake temu shein alibaba stuff that hasn't been caught by the Etsy bots yet.)

* Go to your order.

* click "help with your order"

* it will give you a list of reasons.  I think if you click "something else" you will be able to explain your issue.

*  This goes to the seller.  They have 48 hours to resolve your issue with Etsy oversight.  If they fail to resolve it satisfactorily and they violated Etsy's rules, such as misrepresenting the item being in the US, when it was actually coming from China or the middle east and is now stuck in customs with a big tarrif bill due on delivery like your order sounds like, then Etsy will issue you a refund.  If the shop shows a pattern of this, Etsy will shut them down.

Please leave a review so other innocent shoppers don't get taken advantage of.
