I also work at Georgetown, and this complaint usually comes from people (usually older alumni) who equate “Catholic” with a narrow, traditional worldview. They think Georgetown is too liberal, too open, too accepting. They don’t like that there’s an LGBTQ Center. They don’t like the school’s embrace of undocumented students. Etc. Now, maybe the PP has a different perspective. But I’ve never heard someone say this who means something else. I’d encourage you to spend time on the website, particularly the “who we are” section. The school does not shy away from it’s Catholic and Jesuit heritage.[/quote]
