Some kids do significantly better on one for good reasons. For example, ADHD/SN kids tend to do better on the ACT. Both of my SN kids scored 34 and 35 on the first try. PSAT was Much, much lower. The best approach is EARLY ON, like sophomore year, take practice tests in both and figure out which one (they are different) your kid excels at and go from there. Ask your high school counselor.
