An assistant coach once affiliated with a Manassas volleyball club has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse and filming of a minor, according to City of Manassas Police.

Richard Trevor Hill, 33, of Manassas, is facing four felony charges in connection with an incident that took place at the Manassas Volleyball Club, located at 9406 Center Point Lane in Manassas, according to Sgt. Shauna Moller, a public information officer with the City of Manassas Police Department.

On Oct. 7, Manassas police began investigating an alleged sexual assault that took place on Sept. 26, according to Prince William County court records.

During the police investigation, detectives obtained and examined additional evidence, “which led to the recovery of a photograph of the juvenile athlete in a compromised position, along with further evidence of the alleged sexual assault being committed,” Moller said in a news release.

Hill was arrested on Nov. 2 and charged with one count of committing an indecent act with a child by a custodian, a class 6 felony; sexual battery, a class 1 felony; and two counts of filming a nonconsensual photo of a minor, also a class 6 felony, according to the release and court records.

Hill was released from the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center on an unsecured $10,000 bond ahead of a Dec. 2 court hearing, according to court records.
